I really need some help with this...
I upgraded vista to Windows 7 full retail version.
Compatability check said to update keyboard filter. I couldnt find much info about this and assumed it wouldnt affect it too much except extra functions I probly never use.
Unfortunately, my keyboard doesnt function properly at all.
Im using HP G30-260US laptop.
I have now disconnected the keyboard ribbon and plugged in a usb keyboard, quite a pain to use this one, but at least its working. I would really like to know of a fix for this issue to get my real keyboard working and windows 7 is already running on this computer, from upgrading, not a clean install. I've tried installing a different quick launch buttons driver and uninstalled it completely after windows 7 but no success.
Please help me hehe
Thanks a miillion
Matt

Matt, you may want to start a thread here:
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/?category.id=Noteboo
It is HP's Notebook (laptop) forums.

Hi Dan,
I found your advice on a different thread. Unfortunately it didnt work. I tried uninstalling the quick launch buttons and installing that one, I also tried completely uninstalling it and still no luck. Of course this was after the windows 7 was already installed. Not sure if that makes a difference but I really dont wanna go through a a clean install right now and have to back everything up. I'd like to find a way to fix this without doing a clean install.
Thanks again

Yes Dan,
I have installed that version, same file name 44777.
Is there something else I can try, should there be a fix for this after the official windows 7 release?

I have the retail x86 32bit 7600 build windows 7.
It asked to uninstall a few HP games that came with the PC, I did that, it also mentioned some kind of serve SQL or something like that, I uninstalled that and a canon camera windown and I uninstalled that, when I finished all that was left was the keyboard filter. I proceeded anyways not knowing how to update it and now I have my problem hehe. I would really much rather NOT have to back everything up and do a clean install. Simply fixing the problem would be best.

Always the best solution is to make clean install, but it's certainly Your choice. You may wait until all drivers for Your model will be posted by HP. This will be the best solution.
One thing more. Can You post Your p/n number which is under Your computer and looks like this.
