Hi I upgraded my hp dv 3550ee to win7. Everything is working just fine except for the fingerprint detector. I downloaded the validity Sensor but it only allows me to log in to windows when I start my notebook without showing along any site that requires password.
Please help

Thank you so much for the finger print driver. The one listed on the site for HP HDX 16t 1200 just closed automatically midway through installation.

The Kudos star won't click, but you deserve more. Great post! My finger print reader is working great!!!
Now if I could get my iPhone to sync and get 100 other programs working, converting from Vista to Windows 7 would be a breeze!

My HP HDX 16, originally Vista later upgraded to Windows 7, had the same problem with not being able to connnect to the fingerprint reader. My problem coincided with the touch sensitive strip intermittently failing. I sent the laptop in for repair. They were able to repair the touch sensitive strip. But had to reinstall the hard drive to get the fingerprint reader to work. I was unable to restore my hard drive using my HP MediaSmart WHS using the standard instructions due to a 64bit OS & Realtek Network Adapter issue. Once this was resolved, I then upgraded to the Digital Persona Personal to 4.1.1. This didn't resolve the "unable to connect" issue. I sent the laptop in again for repair. And, again they reinstalled the hard drive. What a waist of my time and HP repair's time where HP Support should of been aware of this issue.
My last attempt for help from HP Support ended in that my laptop was no longer on warranty.
This evening I made another attempt to resolve the "unable to connect" issue. I came across sp45050.exe which upgraded my "Biometric Device" => "Validity Sensor" driver from 2.0.0.1 to 2.1.0.2. Guess what, my Digital Persona Personal fingerprint reader now works!!!!
Why didn't my HP Advisor recommend this firmware upgrade?
Thank you HP Support Forum, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

@vinothrc
Hi,
Please write your notebook product number (p/n). You'll find it at the bottom of the laptop on a sticker.
