Please note this is NOT Windows 7 Beta or RC but Windows 7 RTM (I'm a Microsoft Partner therefore have RTM before everyone else). therefore please don't move...as it is a valid query.

 

7413 Vista 64 bit software and drivers fail to install on Windows 7 getting stuck at the "Connection Type - Through the Network" stage.  The installation messages from Error Log are (in order): -

 

NOTE: Windows Firewall turned OFF - yes all three of them...Domain, Personal Network and Public Network.

 

 

  1. Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401F0
  2. Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: NetDeviceManager64. Product Version: 82.0.173.000. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard. Installation success or error status: 0. 
  3. Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800401F0
  4. Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: NetDeviceManager64. Product Version: 82.0.173.000. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard. Installation success or error status: 0.

 

When you please advise when Software availability will be made available, happy to help with testing your patches etc as I'm also a developer...
