Windows 7 Prints to nowhere!

HI,

I have a HP C6180 all in 1 that I am trying to install in Windows 7 64bit, I have downloaded the vista 64bit drivers as I have read posts that suggest that they work in 7 and indeed they did after I chose to install as an admin in vista compatibility mode. The software has installed fine and the HP solution centre picks up and communicates with the printer, I can see ink levels and even send requests for diagnostic prints and head allignement pages all of which print OK, however, when I want to print from any app be it Word of IE the print appears to go through OK windows reports via the print queue that it has recieved the job and completed it however nothing ever gets printed??????

Has anyone else seen this problem and more importantly fixed it??

Re: Windows 7 Prints to nowhere!

same here (Win 7 x64) with HP photosmart c6350.

everything installed fine, but can't print via wireless. the job appears for a split second in the print queue and gets deleted.

If I print from USB it prints fine.

Re: Windows 7 Prints to nowhere!

I believe that the driver development will start when Microsoft release the Release To Manufacturers(RTM) version of Windows 7, so that the driver release will coincide with the release of the stable version of Windows 7 into the market.

Re: Windows 7 Prints to nowhere!

When the printer drivers are installed in Win 7RC x64, they must be installed in compatability mode and in the x86 (32 bit) Vista. NOT x64. That should solve the problem.
