Windows 7 & Extended Warranty

I have a 19-month old computer with 17 months yet to go on my extended warranty.  I am thinking of going to Windows 7 Home Premium from my current Windows Vista Home Premium.  What issues concerning my warranty, if any, will arise if I were to upgrade?

The warranty will still cover your hardware.Usually HP no longer will support any software issues after changing the OS. Sometimes they will  require that you revert back to factory OS in the event of hardware problems, to troubleshoot.

My notebook is 3 weeks old and I wish to extend the warranty by 2 yrs. How do I do it .
