Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

I installed BlueSoleil and manage to make bluetooth work and all of it's functions, but after using it I have to turn the bluetooth switch off or after some time  bluetooth will stop working properly until next OS restart.

So, BlueSoleil software is good temporarily solution, but not if you are using wireless conection and the WLAN and bluetooth share the same on/off button (like my HP model)

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

I have the exact same problem. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit in a dv6700t laptop, and I can't get it to see my phone.

Re: Having same problem Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

Same problem here, too. DV8t with Win 7 x64 Pro and Logitech V470 mouse. So frustrating!

Mine usually works fine for a while, then randomly stops. Especially after going into standby mode. Until today, it seemed a reboot would usually help. Now it didn't even come back after reboot.

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

erico, I hope you can help.  Here's the info on my machine:

Model #: p6234f
Product #: NY614AA-ABA
Serial #: 3CR9362950
Software Build #: 94NAv6PrA3
Service ID #: 012-310
PCBRAND: Pavilion

We just got Windows 7 after having used XP, and the Bluetooth worked fine in that.  What we use it for is to transfer photos from our LG 8300 cell phones with BitPim.  We have a dongle.  This machine has our phones listed, but there is no option "connect bt diag" as there was in XP.  So the Bluetooth icon in the system tray is white and does not turn blue/green.

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

I have the same problems on a dv8 Windows 7 machine.  Intermittent discovery, no or inappropriate service offerings, poor driver discovery.  This is a big strike against the Win7 and HP experience.  I have never had (XP, Vista, 7) a decent Bluetooth experience with this software and hardware set.

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

I did manage to get it to work by going to amazon.com where I bought the dongle, reading the reviews and installing drivers from the dongle's manufacturer website.  However, it is very slow transferring the pictures.

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

Hi Guys, I have an HP DV6-2113tx running Win 7 (32 bit) [Intel Core i5 M520 @ 2.40GHz + 4gb ram]

The bluetooth was working fine up until today (ie could pair with my mobile phone, my bluetooth mouse and my other laptop).  It still pairs works my mouse, but I cannot pair it with my mobile phone (Nokia 6110 Navigator) or my other laptop (HP DV2616tx - Win Vista 32 bit - Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.20GHz + 3gb ram).

The old laptop (DV2616tx) still connects fine with the mouse and the phone.

The DV6-2113tx however cannot find any bluetooth devices when you search for them.  When you right click the bluetooth icon (in system tray) and select show bluetooth devices, it will not list the mouse, laptop or mobile phone there (although it did before this problem started)

If you go up a level to "Devices and Printers" it lists Devices (2) [HID Keyboard Device; My Laptop], Printers and Faxes (4) and then Unspecified (2) which has bluetooth peripheral device and standard modem over bluetooth link.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers as well as removing the 2 bluetooth devices in the unspecified category as well as turning the bluetooth on and off via HP wireless assistant.

In device manager, under the "bluetooth radios" branch are the "HP integrated module with bluetooth 2.1 wireless technology" & "Microsoft Bluetooth Emulator" (so the bluetooth exists, the fact the mouse is working means it is running to some extent)

I know the problem is not with the phone, as the phone can locate both laptops, but if I try to initiate a connection with the DV6-2113tx from the phone, after a few seconds it fails because the laptop doesn't respond.

Any Ideas?

Cheers

Troy

Re: Windows 7 and Bluetooth

Try reinstalling this chip set driver. There is an enhancements there for Bluetooth pairing.

I have spent many hours trouble shooting this problem and this is one of the things that I discovered. If this does not help I have more suggestions, but I don't want to write an encyclopedia just yet on all the things that I did to get my Microsoft 5000 mouse to work.
