SEE MY P.S. BELOW ON HOW TO GET YOUR HP SOLUTION CENTER TO WORK.
Hi Sophie,
Thank you for your request. I appreciate your offer to assist me, BUT I HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL in reinstalling my printer AND GETTING HP SOLUTION CENTER working. Here is what I stumbled on accidently, so I'm not sure if this is why I was successful.
I decided to change my network password, since it had been a while since I had done so. This caused my network router (an Apple Time Capsule) to recycle. When it did, all (two) old printer definitions disappeared. When I checked the wireless info on the printer panel, it was no longer connected. I could no longer print to the printer. So I uninstalled the printer devices and the printer software. Then I ran the printer install, and everything worked fine. Now I can print and use the HP Solution Center. I hope this works for other folks.
Gary
P.S. HAS ANYONE TRIED THE SOLUTION I HAVE POSTED HERE. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT ALL OF YOU, REINSTALLING REPEATEDLY. THE ONLY WAY I GOT HP SOLUTION CENTER TO WORK WITH MY WIRELESS PRINTER WAS TO RESTART MY ROUTER AFTER I UNINSTALLED MY PRINTER. YOU HAVE TO BE SURE TO REMOVE NETWORK PRINTER DEFINITION. THEN WHEN YOU REINSTALL YOUR PRINTER SOFTWARE, YOU WILL BE PROMPTED TO EITHER USE AN EXISTING DEFINITION OR CREATE A NEW ONE. YOU MUST CREATE A NEW ONE. IF YOU KEEP SELECTING USE AN EXISTING DEFINITION IF ONE APPEARS, YOU WILL BE IN THE SAME BOAT. HP SOLUTION CENTER WILL NOT WORK. PLEASE TRY THIS AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR YOU.
P.S. I'm too old for this. There was a time when I could stay up all night and work on this stuff, but not any more.

What is it doing? What kind of error are you getting? Hard to help without knowing more than it is not working.

There are some diagnostics that could help
When your Solution Center tried to make the needed connections, something failed.
could be wireless issue, could be something else. Without more details this is a tough issue to troubleshoot.
Please try these diagnostics:

Hello,
I am out of ideas. I have at home three laptop with Windows 7 64bit Home Premium and a HP Photosmart B110 printer connected Wifi
On two PCs I installed the software and found the printer and everything works. The third, he sees the printer but refuses to install the software.
I tried like the others with the CD, the setup does not launch. Actually it doesn't do anything. I tried with administrator account, compatibility problems...
I downloaded from HP the software in full auto extraction, it starts, extracts everything, then nothing ... no error message .. nothing.
I tried canceling the windows firewall, and disabling the anti virus Essential Microsoft, I deleted the Temp files in roaming, ccleaner, I wanted to delete the registry key HP but there were none, I tested also in safe mode but nothing works.
He refuses to start the installation.
I just ask you if you have an idea that I could try.
Thank you
PS: i installed also the Hp printer wizard, it found the printer on the network, it does download the right software, then he asked again to select the printer, then it download the right software (193mb) then it find the printer and download ....etcetcetc

Hello all,
I am having the same issue and I tired everthing in the sun to get this freak'n solution center to work. I even called customer support and they couldn't fix my issue in how to install the Solution Center.
Here is my configuration:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit version
HP Photosmart Preimum edition c309a.
I have download the full version PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_enu_140_047
Uninstalled and reinstalled the full version so many times that I am blue in the face.
Also remove all my temp files and using everything third party uninstall program there is and still it doesn't work.
Still no good.
For the amount of time I wasted I could have bought a brand new printer that works with windows 7.

Hi Gary,
I tried your solution (I think) and it seemed to work: I could scan for the first time ever and HP Solution executed as well. However, after checking various tabs on HP Solution and exiting I found I was back at square one: HP Solution failed and could not scan again.
I think I may have gone wrong where you say "REMOVE NETWORK PRINTER DEFINITION"; which I took to mean going to "Devices and Printers" and deleting my printer icon. I have a feeling that was not quite what you were saying. Please advise.
Thanks,
Alex

It has been a little while since I did this, but I think all I had to do was after uninstalling the printer, be sure that under printers and devices all references to your printer should be gone. Then restart your computer. Then you need to stop and start your router. I think I restarted my computer once more and went to Windows Explorer, Network and made sure that I had to references to the printer. I didn't. If you do, I am assuming you need to delete any and restart your computer. Once you see no references to your printer, reinstall your printer and along the way, you be asked to create a new network definition. Select this option. Hopefully, this will fix your problem.
It is really frustrating. I like HP printers, but on those few occasions when you have trouble, HP support is awful. I don't know whether support from any other printer companies is any better.
Good luck.
