Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hi,

After upgrading from Windows Vista to 7, I've tried everything except deleting my Vista Serv. Pk2 and returning to HP to reinstall for my 6310 All in one, which is working just fine EXCEPT for scan.

It used to work with paint, but no more.  I've tried windows, etc.  No go.  Cannot get solutions center to work.  Am I just wasting my time truying to get Win 7 to work with my 6310 all in one, or is there still hope, that there really is a solution?  Thanks!  Krystina

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

This Parsing Error at c:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging\ bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml for the HP Solution Center isx really really frustrating.  I too have tried everything.  I have a HP Photosmart C7280 and I just got a new Windows 7 computer and I had it printing for a while and then it stopped on both of my PCs.  However, on my son's MAC, no problems.

Called HP support and joined for a year at $37 and it is still not working.  The first guy I talked to was pretty good after being disconnected 2 times when they transferred me to him.  After 2 hours of trying to fix it and them not being able to log into my computer since I was on New Internet Explorer 9.0, or at least, that is what I understand.  He walked me through and got me to be able to print again.  No scanner worked and as soon as I hung up and closed out the program, I got the Parsing Error.  So, of course, I called back and I didn't get the same guy and the second guy didn't have a clue and it was I was so frustrated.  He tried to talk me into uninstalling new version of Internet Explorer, but I don't want to go backwards.  I want HP to fix this problem.

I am also having issues with my internet access all of a sudden.  Of course, I didn't have these until I had this issue with HP so I don't know if they are related or not, but I am so frustrated and now I am wondering if I should have stuck with a MAC or if it is an HP Problem.

Has anyone resolved this issue that can help.  I am running Windows 7 Professional on a Core i7 with 16GB RAM and have 2 printers that are working on and off, but no scanning and now get this Parsing Error.  My printers are HP Photosmart C7280 and C4780 and I have a Netgear WR3300 on a Comcast Cable network.  I even had Comcast out to see if it was related to my internet connection and that all was fine.

Help please.  I am trying to run a business and I have spent hours trying to fix this issue and HP Support can't even help me so far.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hi there,

After, connecting with someone at HP, who finally told me that my HP all-in-one 6310, problems are not going to be fixed after upgrading to Windows 7, and suggesting I invest in yet another HP product, I decided to try Staples for another printer.  I walked out with a wireless, Epson 730.  Staples had a $5.00 off coupon, which essentially paid for most of my tax, which was fine, but I also noticed that I could bring on any older computer for an additional $50. discount.  Trading in an older HP computer also made me eligible for a discount on a 2 year guarantee from Staples: $15.00.  The wrap up is that I got a $200. Epson printer, with all the newest wireless, bells and whistles, including automatic 2 sided printing for $118. which I can bring back directly to Staples, for a credit on another printer.  No hastle with the manufacturer,  anyone's customer service or cost to send back.  Time to upgrade.  Simple.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Yeah I am thinking of doing the same thing. I am so frustrated with HP Solution Center. HP shouldn't have not deployed this product if it is so annoying to the customers to install. I have already tried everything they suggested and still no vail. I can't get this thing to work and I am ready to toss it out the window.

I have Windows 7 Premium version.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

I cannot install HP Solution Center on my new computer running Windows 7.  I tried to install HP Solution Center from the web-site and it does not install.  The drivers install fine but the HP Solution Center does not install so I cannot scan or fax from my all in one printer.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hello, I recently installed Windows 7 on both my HP laptop and HP desktop. I upgraded the laptop but I had yo do a clean install on my desktop to bring it to 64bit. Long story short, my desktop works fone as far as my HP C5180 printer and solution center goes as it is connected by USB. However the laptop will not communicate with the printer through solution center. The laptop does recognize that the printer is on the network and i have done everything I can think of and nothing works.

I have been researching and fighting with this thing everyday and night for a week. Is there a solution or do I need to look for a new printer?    Thank you, Dale

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Did anyone find a solution to getting getting the 7280c Solution Center installed and working on Windows 7?  I could use the help if you did.
