Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

I tried that too, and it worked until lately. HP did an auto upgrade recently and now my solution center is no longer working- AGAIN! Is there a permanent fix for this somewhere? I had no problems with it for years when I was using XP but now...!!!

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center v13

[ Edited ]

Model: HP Photosmart All In One 2610

Can someone please help me I spent 4 days and countless hours and restarts and insillations to try to get the solution center to function. When i click on it all I get is a error message stating the software needs to be reinstalled and device instiation is not complete.  Below is the info you need to give a solution to the solution center and no side bar gadget..

1. I upgraded from windows vista home premium to windows 7 ultimate both 32 bit.

2.The older version of software worked fine including the solution center except for it could not do a two way communication to read ink levels.

3. I uninstalled all hp sotfware includingthe  temp files and  every where else I could think of prior to re-install of the newest windows 7  v13 software full bundle. I tried to do this numerous times. I tried to call hp for help but since my model was out of warranty they would not help me without a steep charge.

4.Finally after much stress I was able to install all software and it is functional except for the solution center and the side bar gadget on the desktop.

I have tried the network via ethernet and usb wired connection all to no avail. Currently I have wired usb connection all all works except for the two items listed below.

I would like the solution center and gadget to function as intended.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hello everyone,

It is upsetting but it seems very clear now after reading all the posts on here that HP programmers are not doing their jobs making timely updates for their programs to be fully functional with windows 7 and their solution center for full functionality. To take it a step further the managers at HP are fully to blame here and are not prioritizing this issue to instruct their programmers to put the necessary components into the HP update and rectify this issue once and for all. Therefore we all are running around  in circles on the end point customer base in frustration and much stress. I would advise us all to send out complaints directly to the top because only then will the wheels start to turn to bring forth an update fix. If anyone can help direct us all to who "THE TOP CEO" contact person is I would advise sharing their e-mail on this forum us all to write to. In conclusion if the customer base is not kept fully functional the company cannot continue their sales growth or profit margins.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hello everyone,

After reinstalling and uninstalling more times than I can count I was able to finnally get the Solutioncenter to work as well as the full current software for windows 7.

I chose to run the software from the web instead of installing onto my desktop and running ot from there. I downloaded the "patch" and the software still finished with the fatal error messagebut I re ran it again and this time it asked me to put in the original CD disk taht came with my HP all in one 2610. After some looking I located it and inserted the disk and waited and waited then finally it all started to work. I wish I couldsay the exact steps taken to help another but honestly I tried so many things so many times with hours in between I cannot duplucate it. But know in fact that it can be made to work and HP should make it much much easier for us all, and allow free support on this issue so we ALL can use the newest and best updated full feature software that scans, prints, copies, faxes tec. I must say the new solution center looks greatly improved. I am going to make a system restore just in case...

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Hi all,

I have the same issue with my HP Photosmart 3210. HP Solution Center is not running under my new Win7 Pro 32bit laptop.

I called HP support today and their answer was that the product is obsolete as it was purchased in 20006 and that the only solution is to purchase a new product!

I really enjoy this kind of support!

any other tips/idea?

Nic

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

Did you say you have a Photosmart 3210?

My understanding is Soultion Center should work for your product with the full software available here:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-76831-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...=

Please let me know if that works.

If I have helped you solve your issue please mark it as solved .....

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

I'm running Windows 7 64  Home and  have a Deskjet F380.    Printing and scanning work OK via the Windows GUI but I can't install HP Solution Center to check ink levels etc,   I've downloaded the correct  version for my OS from HP.com:

HP Deskjet and Officejet Full Feature Software and Drivers

2009-10-21 , Version:13.1.0, 362.68M

This appears on my PC as AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe

It fails to install, reporting that the OS on my PC is Windows XP!

If I try to install in Safe Mode it gets further but fails because the Print Spooler isn't running and of course "Fix" doesn't work.

This has been reported elsewhere, but I can't find a cure.

Re: Windows 7 and HP Solution Center

I have an HP 7210 and the "HP Solution Center" became unresponsive with the latest Windows 7 (32 bit) update.  HP was of no help.

Your recommendation of going to the bin directory and running "HPISCNAPP.exe" directly worked perfectly..

Many Thanks!!
