I would like to buy a HP printer that works with Windows 8 preview.

Understand that HP will not release drivers for existing printers until August at earliest and that is OK....I have 3 HP Laserjet 1020s that have been great and will buy a new HP printer if it will work now with Windows 8 preview.  Any suggestions or any fixes/patches for 1020 that work.  Also interested in any non-HP printers that work with Windows 8 preview?  Prefer HP but will buy first printer that works from any mfg. as I would like to give Windows 8 a real try.   Believe HP is missing boat by not putting a patch out for some of their printers as soon as possible as I am not the only HP user looking to buy any printer that works with Windows 8.

I was informed by a customer service rep yesterday that they do not make any patches or drivers for Windows 8.

HP is not missing any boats..you need to read the opening forum post top of this forum...HP is working behind the door with MS as they have for 30+ years to make sure upon release of a new O/S in this case Windows 8 that the drivers are available and be known to you that HP Windows 8 printers will be coming.

Many thanks.  Replaced hard drive with windows 8 beta on it and using old hard drive now.....will reinstall and try fix tomorrow and post results.

You should have no problem printing under Windows 8 test release, as long as you have your latest drivers from HP.

If you are having a printing issue regardless of a driver for WIN8 which is not available then call HP for support or post the exact problem you are having, not just not printing.
