Printer installation under Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Printer : HP Photosmart Premium C309g

OS : Windows 8 Consumer Preview

Several times trying to install the printer with last downloaded HP specific software.

Can't install my printer.

Is there a solution ?

It works fine with windows 7

   The C309g does have a Windows update driver in Windows 8.  The functions the printer will have using the driver will depend on how you have it installed on the PC.  This is the functions you should see.

Network - Basic print functionality

USB - Basic print funcionality and scan abiltiy

If you need help installing this let me know, what I would need to know is how you plan on installing this, network or usb.

Hello, I´ve been trying to install my HP Officejet J4680c All-in-One Printer on windows 8 consumer preview with the drivers for windows 7 64bits, but it´s been impossible, is there any drivers that I can use or any suggestion so I can get my printer working, thank you.

    If you have Windows update turned on and you connect the usb cable from the printer to your PC and the PC is connected to the internet it will download and install the driver.

   Windows 8 has a Windows update driver for your printer(see attached) so if you have Windows 8 setup to update and the pc is connected to the internet it will install the driver, How are you trying to install it?  is it usb or network?

J'ai fait les essais avec Logiciel HP installé et logiciel HP désinstallé.

Dans tous les cas Windows Update me dit : pas de mise à jour disponible.

QUE DOIS-JE FAIRE ?

You can use the add a device in printers and devices.  If you open up printers and devices in the upper left you will see an add a devices and printers button.  Click on it and it will search for any devices or printers on your network, if the printer is connect usb it should also see it.  When it finds it select the printer and select next and it should install the in-OS driver for the printer.

The thing is that the printer is not is not setup at all, I uninstall all the drivers trying to reinstall new ones, I tried to do what you told me, and in fact it seems to install a driver, but it does not work. Maybe is because there are no drivers at all for the printer and I have no drivers to update? I would appreciate any help, thank you.
