HP Omni 10 Tablet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have had tablet since 2014 - upgraded to Windows 10 last year. Yesterday suddenly touch screen doesn't work. Tried the BIOS update suggested in prior post but didn't solve problem. Only way to use tablet is with mouse and external keyboard. Have done many searches and tried several fixes but still no luck. If anyone has solution please let me know what you did to fix problem. THANKS!!!

@msmrs

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I Understand the touchscreen stopped working,

No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Does it work in the BIOS screen?

Did you perform any hardware tests on the touchscreen?

While you answer my questions, here's what you can do:

Attempt to run a test using the HP hardware diagnostic tool,

If the Touch screen isn't appearing on the diagnostics,

I recommend checking if the Touch is working on BIOS (Accessed by tapping on F10 while restarting the computer).

If it works on bios, it's a software issue: please reinstall windows using the recovery partition or the recovery media to fix the issue

If it doesn't work on BIOS either, it's a hardware failure and you may need to Contact HP and set up a hardware repair service.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number to obtain a case along with the phone number.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts,
