Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So for a while now, there have been these instances where the base of my laptop either stops working completely, or barely responds. I've noticed that these instances occur most while running HTML5 videos, but will randomly appear at other times as well. Another strange thing that happens during these instances is that my laptop is incapable of going into sleep mode during them.  I've tried reseting and shuting down the laptop, but neither have worked, and I'm afraid if I just start messing around with random operating systems, I'll make things worse.
