And I mean really slow. I have a compaq presario CQ62 laptop with the Atheros AR9285 chipset. It used to work OK with my old DGL-4300 wireless G router. Now I have an Engenius EAP9550 access point connected to a Vigor 2130 router.
While it will actually make a connection, the speed between the laptop and other devices on the LAN (or internet) is horrible, around 30 Kbps/sec. Yes, Kilobits. It also messes with the Android phone's wireless that is connected to the same access point, causing stuttering in VoIP phone calls.
Both devices, the laptop and phone, are 802.11n, as is the AP. The phone can transfer files at high speed, at least several Mbits/sec. I can't figure out what is wrong with the laptop wireless. It has a driver dated 3/2/201 v8.0.0.316, and runs W7x64.
It is near useless. Please help!
