Broadcom 802.11 b/g wireless adapter is installed but not detected

There is an orange light always even though I turn the switch on and mainly I can not find wireless adapter under device manager but when I run msinfo32 it showed broadcom 802.11 b/g wireless adapter installed but adapter type or pnp device id ...nothing ...service name is bcm43xx and dhcp enabled yes.

Is this a faulty adapter or something else?

if something else what is the solution?

Please use plain text.

Hi,

1.

Write down Your p/n which is under Your computer and looks like this.

2.

Which system are you using?

@ChristinaM

Hi,

You've got a hardware problem. If you live in US then you should be interested in checking proposed NVIDIA GPU settlement. You are very lucky because your laptop product number (pn) is on the affected models list. Wireless problem is one of Identified Symptoms per Settlement Agreement.
