I've posted this question in quite a number of forums (no luck). I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64 bit on an HP Compaq 515 Energy Star [originally running Vista Home Basic 32 bit (same problem persisted)]; so perhaps someone here can help with an annoyance, not a major problem. When I boot up, the Broadcom Wlan 802.11 b/g shows up in the task bar as a removable device just like a jump drive. I remove it and the device goes down and immediately comes back up (according to the HP Wireless Assistant). I'd rather it not show up in the first place. Does anyone know how to eliminate this minor annoyance? I'd appreciate the help. SB 644.
