Can I print from my HP TouchPad to my HP F-340 printer?

I have an HP F-340 color printer that is presently hard-wired to my desktop computer just for color printing. My son bought me a Netgear N600 router for Christmas that I have connected to it wirelessly, my desktop computer and two laptops. I also have a Brother 5370DW printer connected through my Netgear router to all three computers. Everything works well. The three computers can print to the Brother printer and the F-340. Now my question! I recently bought an HP TouchPad (that uses webOS) which is not compatible with my Brother printer. I would like to print from from the TouchPad using a compatible printer. I was about to buy an HP e-printer (HP 8600) until my son told me that my F-340 printer can be wireless if I connect it directly to my Netgear router using the USB ports on the Netgear and the printer. He has the same F-340 and he has it wireless. My question is:  Can I connect my F-340 printer directly to the router using the USB ports and make it wireless so that I can maybe add that printer to my HP TouchPad? Will it be compatible? Or should I just buy an HP e-printer, like the HP 8600 and maybe eliminate the Brother printer and the F-340, since the 8600 does the same as the Brother printer, and more, and has color too. I also have a MiFi that I think would help me print wirelessly with the right printer. Any help or ideas is appreciated. The TouchPad is a great computer and I use it 80% over the three other computers I have but if I can't print from it, I'm stuck in two worlds!

Hi,

I'm afraid that the Touchpad won't let you print to a networked printer (wired or usb connected to a router). I have a LaserJet 1022n connected to a wireless hub. The printer is automatically detected but my Touchpad says no compatible printer. I would say that it will work wirelessly with some compatible printers. Remember that HP have ended developing WebOS so not many printers are compatible..
