How can I configure the DV7-6B32US laptop to wakeup via wireless connection to do nightly backups??

I have a relatively new DV7-6B32US puchased on 11/2011 running Windows 7 and using Broadcom 4313 wireless N card.

 I am using Windows Home Server to do nightly backups for all my pcs, 2 HP desktops, 1 HP All In One, and 2 HP Laptops.   The laptops are usually only connected wirelessly at night and I configured to sleep (and tested to hibernate, neither worked).  

I want to be able to wake up the laptops to do nightly backups, but the laptops are on, I test this by seeing lights and opening lid and they are sleeping, not shutdown,  but they will not wake up to do backups.  This works when on wired lan.  How do I configured these laptops to do WOL ???

any suggestions would be appreciated.

These are my children's laptops and they keep them in their bedroom at night and the bedrooms do not have ethernet wired connections.

did you ever get any feedback on that or did you find out how to get it runnig? I'm having the same issues with my notebook (Compaq 615)...
