DV9000 WIFI mother board fix

I know that the WIFI problems I am having are the same as 100s of others on the net. I have replaced the WIFI card and it is still not reconized. I have reinstalled the software from factory CDs and still not reconized. Like others I do not want to pay 250 for a fix when that is half the price of a new laptop. What are the chance HP will tell us what is required to fix the motherboard since it was a manifacture defalt. So of us could fix it ourselves and then they would not have such a bad rep with some of us. I have already fixed the video problem by reheating the video chip and fixing the Cooling fan. Does anyone know what the motherboard modifications that are require are?

Apparently from other forums, dv6000 & dv9000 series of notebooks use AMD chips that overheat., some symptoms are broken hinge, no wifi card recognition,  blank screen, and eventually it fials to boot up.

 

one forum had a reference about a problem with GPU problem, web: fixmygpu(dot)com, I saw some of their youtube videos and they remove some chips, reball (resolder the chip ends to the motherboard).

 

I will simply buy a mini USB wireless adapter for about $30 and use it until the motherboard (chip) completely dies . I will also remove and store all my data & pics on an external harddrive
