Did a restore on my Compaq Presario and cannot connect wirelessly to my home network

Compaq Presario V2000 with XP Pro

Wireless internet not connected

Used Disk Scrubber 2 and then installed restore disks from HP

I can access the internet on this computer only if connected to router with ethernet cable.  Have a home network with 3 other computers accessing it with no problems, also can print wirelessly to Epson and Lexmark printers from other computers.  The message is that the router is not connected (blue light is on) Broadband router.  Router connected to modem is Cisco (Linksys) WRT160N .

What model wireless network adapter does your notebook have?

If you don't know, look in your device manager under the network adapters section.

Maybe a driver update will help.
