G60 213EM Downgraded from vista to xp

Hi, can anyone help me solve my problem. I recently bought an HP G60 213EM laptop running on windows vista, but downgraded to windows XP. Since then I can not connect to the internet using ethernet port. How do I configure my laptop to make it work or am I missing drivers?

Please help me.

Hi,

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Devices Manager

If You have there any yellow signs then click with right button of Your mouse on of this sign and choose properties. Then go to bottom details and paste here device id. This way we will know what it is.

Re: G60 213EM Downgraded from vista to xp

Thanks,

Realtek driver seem to have recognise the ethernet port at last but the message coming out is limited or no connectivity. (problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the p.c. I think if I get over this problem, will be able to connect to the internet.

Re: G60 213EM Downgraded from vista to xp

Go to Control panel -> Network connections

Click with right button of Your mouse on ethernet card and choose TCP/IP. Use there all settings as automatic.

If this will not work then click on Start and choose there Run. Write there command cmd and press enter.

Console will show up.

Write there command:

ipconfig /renew

if this will not work try also this:

ipconfig /flushdns
