I bought a new HP Pavilion dm4 computer recently and the computer is grand but the wireless internet is just very slow. I can't even load a youtube video. I phoned the PC store and they said that I might have a faulty internet card so changed the computer, but I have exactly the same problem with the new computer.
Internet with my old computer is up to 100 times faster. All the other computers work fine within the same network so it can't be the internet providers fault (28MB/s Virgin broadband).
I have tried to change power settings but that doesn't solve the problem for me (saw that it solved the problem for another user).

Hi
try uninstall the wireless card driver from add/remove progams and again install the wifi drivers from recovery manager.

also, you can try to use the latest drivers from hp.com instead of installing from recovery manager.

I have the exact same issue with the same computer (dm4). I have been on the phone with tech support and tried everything including system restore. Both of my other computers work fine on my wireless. Another interesting thing is that the HP dm4 works fine at my work wireless.
