Re: HP Pavilion dv6000 Wireless adapter missing, plz help!

Replacing the mobo fixes the situation? Is this for all the laptops on these pages? How do we go about getting this to happen?

Re: HP Pavilion dv6000 Wireless adapter missing, plz help!

I've had the exact same problem almost identical.  I contacted my Internet provider after trouble shooting they suggested to buy a wireless adapter USB from Best Buy or download the program on Intel Wireless Adapter to a USB but I don't know where to go to get the free download from HP- I could use a help as well!

Re: HP Pavilion dv6000 Wireless adapter missing, plz help!

Thanks Italian.  The FurMark worked for my HP.  Already sent it back to HP a month after I got it for the wireless.  Then the hard drive went at 1 yr and 1/2.  Then the motherboard.  Glad I had the extended warranty.  Shortly after the warranty expired the wireless started acting up again.  This has fixed it for now.  What a gem this thing is....

Re: HP Pavilion dv6000 Wireless adapter missing, plz help!

Great advice!!

I ran FurMark on my dv6110us.  The wireless auto-detection started (when the GPU temperate was at about 72 C) WITHOUT me having to hibernate the computer!

Thanks very much.
