HP Printer not connecting

My Vista laptop will connect to my home network wirelessly, I can pull files off the other computers (desktop and laptop) , but I cannot, after months of trying, get this Vista laptop to print to either my HP 2200DTN through my desktop, nor my Epson RX620.  I was told that the printer needed to be post 2006 or something like that....the Epson certainly is....but still, no luck.

 

PLEASE.  Does anyone have a fix for this? 

 

It appears Vista does not like the drivers for these printers.  I have gone to the Vista Compatibility website and downloaded the drivers it told me to use....but still, no luck.
