HP printer won't connect computer

I just upgraded my iPAD from my HP laptop and now it won''t connect to the printer, HP OfficeJet J6480 (all-in-one). I deleted the printer and reinstalled it. I reinstalled the HP software I got on line to the computer. I lost my disc that came with the printer.   Nothing works. Now HP says it doesn't support the HP J6480.    Nancy
