I cannot print a web page.

Laptop G62 & Deskjet F4580. Windows 7 & IE8.

I cannot print a web page. My computer- to- printer connection is OK because I can copy and paste the page into my word processor and print it. But I can't print directly from the browser. It's as if the browser is not talking to the printer. The printer remains silent.
