I have a compaq presario cq57-315nr. I have installed a new dual router in my home. I can only see the 2.4 MGz connection. I have been working with tech support from Netgear. They seem to think that the network card is only 2.4 MGz. Is this correct and if it is what card do I need to purchase in order to get 5 MGz that would work on this notebook?

I am going to answer part of my own question. I have been reading some of the posts and I am not the only one with this question. My Network adapter the Broadcom 4313GN 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter is not capable of connecting at 5MGHz. I have found the Maintenence and Service guide for the CQ57 and found only 1 card listed capable of 5MGHz which is Realtek 8188BC8 802.11a/b/g/n 2×2 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS Combo Adapter, Part #602993-001.
All of the network adapters that are listed are:
Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 655795-001
Atheros AR9002WB-1NGB 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo Adapter-
593127-001
Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 657325-001
Ralink 5390GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter 630703-001
Realtek 8188BC8 802.11a/b/g/n 2×2 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS Combo Adapter 602993-001
Realtek 8188GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi Adapter 640926-001
Now to new questions. Where can I buy the Realtek 8188BC8? Cannot seem to prove that this one even exists. And if not, is there any way to use another network adapter like the Broadcom 4313AGN or one of the Intel adapters, even if it is not listed in the manual?
