Looking to upgrade my INTERNAL Wireless network card from a/b/g to a N wifi card,

Hi all,

My internet provider kindly upgraded my download speed from 10MB to 60MB.

But i can only receive 20MB, due to my wireless network card only being a g.

My wireless superhub router is N speed, so i need to upgrade my laptop.

Im currently us my faithful HP G70 120EA laptop ( NG503EA )

Does anyone out there know a supplier who could equipe me with the

right card, for 300MBPS downloading speed?

A part number would be even better, of any make, ie Netgear, cisco, Intel, etc

As ive searched the Hp website, and havent found one.

Obviously, the cost has to take into play, as i dont want to spend over £40

With thanks

Re: Looking to upgrade my INTERNAL Wireless network card from a/b/g to a N wifi card,

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01573159.pdf

Please see chapter 3, starting on page 3-5 for the list of supported wireless adapters.

It appears you can install the Atheros AR9280 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN adapter with HP part # 482260-002 for use in the UK.

The cheapest way to obtain one is to do a search by the part number for one that is in used but tested and working condition on eBay UK.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=482260-002&_sacat=See-All-C...

HP does not have that particular wireless adapter for sale. Their site states to contact reseller.

You must get the card with the HP part number on it, or it will not work.
