Did the wireless ever work? (have you tried going into Device Manager and rolling back the driver?)
Was there something that you changed before this happened? ( perhaps updated the operating system)
Kind regards,

It was never able to detect Wifi from the begining, and when opening the device manager I cannot see anything related to wireless network - or maybe I do not know exactly what to look for there -

In the Device Manager look for the Network adapter section. Click on the triangle to the left to expand the section. there should be two devices there in yours if you also have a wired network adapter. I will edit this and post an image from my desktop PC.

No worries. ![]()
What is the installed operating system and is it 32 or 64-bit?
You may have to go into the BIOS and enable the wireless card. Once that is done your wireless card could very well start working on its own and be recognized by the operating system. The following image is from a pre-production BIOS for the ProBook 6550b.
Your notebook may have only the LAN network interface controller enabled.

Sorry but he option you mentioned is already enabled in my computer. I have taken the attched photo with a phone camera, so it's not so clear, but it will show you the setting I saw on my BIOS.
Thanks

For each operating system that Microsoft produces and markets, there are 32 and 64-bit versions. Drivers that are are for a 32-bit operating system will not work on a 64-bit operating system and vice versa.
