My wireless button will not work

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-1451nr and have had it for three years. All of a sudden my wireless button (upper right corner) is glowing amber and will not turn back on. I have tried everything I can think of. I went to the 'windows mobility center' to manually turn it on, and the option to turn it back on is greyed out and I can't click on it. any ideas on how to get my wireless back?

Hi,

It's always worth trying a Hard Reset as follows.  This will not effect your data in any way.

Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold  down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.

I have the same problem like the topic opener but on a HP 625 Notebook. I've tried the "Hard Reset" and is still not becoming blue like it should. Also on Windows Mobility Center it can't be selected. I've reinstall my OS and it have the same problem on Windows and even Ubuntu. What should I do because I really need Wireless Internet Connection...

EDIT: Solve it by installing HP Wireless Assisant
