Need help with Presario CQ62-215DX wireless settings

I just got this notebook and found it really slow connecting through wireless (many issues).  I bought a new wireless-N router (TL-Link 8960N) hopefully to get better connectivity, this new router was working great for another laptop (Elitebook 8440p connecting at 300Mbps), but no matter what setting I tried to change, the CQ62 only connects at 72Mbps (sitting 3 feet from the router).   Can someone suggest what settings I can update to increase its wireless connection.  Thanks.

You may have a Broadcom 4313b/g/n which is up to 72Mbps. Go to the device manager and tell us what wireless adapter you have..

The wireless card is a Broadcom 4313.  Is 72 the best it can do?

Yes, that card is max. up to 72Mbps. However a good news is that you can replace that card by Atheros AR9285 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2. Part number is 580101-001 for the USA and Canada and 580101-002 for Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia etc..

Under the same number is also listed Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n 1x1 so I'm not sure if this one will work..
