Hi,
It may be an idea to set up a Static IP address to see if this will allow you to connect.
Open windows Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Centre. Click Change adapter settings and in the following window, right click your wireless connection and select Properties. Left click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) to highlight it ( click on the wording and not the box with the tick ) then click the Properties button. Click the radio button next to 'Use the following IP Address and then enter the following values.
IP Address 192.168.1.120
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
Also, assign the following DNS Server Addresses
Preferred DNS Server 208.67.222.222 ( These belong to OpenDNS )
Alternate DNS Server 208.67.220.220
After entering these values, remember to click OK to each open Window, before restarting the notebook.
Regards,
DP-K

Hi,
I think the only option left is to uninstall your security software to see if this is blocking your access. Restart the notebook after this has completed and if you now have internet access, download and install the free version of Avast as a temporary measure and check whether you can still connect OK.

Hi,
Avast is a good solution to protect against spyware and viruses and operates real-time scanning. In addition, you could download and install the free versions of MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware on the links below.
These are both on-demand scanners ( run once a week ) and will not interfere with Avast.
Also, open windows Control Panel, open Windows Firewall and check that it is turned on ( it can sometimes be left disabled after uninstalling third party security software ). If you need yo re-activate it, just click 'Use recommended settings'.
These are just recommendations and there are numerous other softwares you could use - but this should keep you safe in the meantime.

DP-K
