zoelife09 - that link isn't for your computer. that is for badcomp.

For your computer you should have a look here.

There are 2 models of presario f732.

you have to choose yours. but i don't think you will find something which can help.

anyway have a look ad you will see. but try to find someone with same wireless card as is yours, so you can try if your wifi card is faulty or motherboard is faulty. if there is problem with matherbord and your computer is out of warranty, it will be much cheaper to buy USB wireless adapter than replace the matherbord. good luck to both of you guys.   :smileywink:

Re: Pavilion dv6439nr Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN is disappeard from device manager

what do i do? :smileyhappy:  remote hardware monitoring for EVA storage system :smileyhappy: investigation of faults, etc. all those things which i have written are from my personal experience. you know, it's quite hard to help over internet or telephone. some problems can be caused by xy different things. and for that people say they solutions. for someone, can be enough just to reasemble the wireless card (have you tried it?), for someone will be ok to reset computer (remove power cord, remove battery and hold the Power button for around 1minute and then reconnect battery and power cord.)

So, can you tell me what have you tried so far?

Re: Pavilion dv6439nr Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN is disappeard from device manager

irootsk,

thank you for the info. i am glad you were not offended by my question.

I tried to power off, take out battery and held the power button for 30 seconds. that did not work. i have considered taking the wireless card out and just re-assembling it. but am a little nervous and would rather exhaust every option outside of removing screws and physical connections before doing that. i have a feeling it will come down to that.

i am currently traveling and don't know anyone who would have the same card.

i am hoping and praying its not my mother board.

thank you for all your help.

i have nothing to hide. that's why i answered your question .

i don't thik we can do something else - si it's time to try to reassemble the wireless card. no worries. it's not rocketscience.

have a look at this link.

There are steps what to do. Calm down, have a shot of good brandy and let's begin :smileyhappy: Just kidding.

Just follow the steps from my link. I am sure you can manage to reassemble that board. :smileywink:

Hi all

I got my computer repaired back today. Now it is working fine.

From the 'product repair-Customer receipt" I understand  they replaced System board and Thermal pad.

I hope my problem is solved.

Thank you for all helped me in this forum.
