Printer prints first job then Printer is Busy and won't print

I'm using a Mac and have software up to date.  I have reinstalled my HP Photosmart C4780 (4700 series driver) software.

The printer will print the first job, but when I try to print another one it says "printer is busy".  If I try to shut down the printer it seems to be unable to shut down.  When I unplug the printer and restart it then it will print the next job.

 

I also get a message that my computer has components installed that are not compatible with my printer, but I have not installed new components.  All wireless networking is performing correctly.  I can't find anything wrong in diagnostics.

 

It's like the printer does not recognize it has completed the job.  Does anybody have a clue?
