The wireless function key on my laptop doesnt seem to be working

I am asking this on behalf of someone else.

He has a HP pavilion dz7 laptop with Vista OS and the wireless function key doesnt seem to work, that is to say it stays orange and does not get a software response of any kind. This is what I have seen.

He therefore cannot connect to a network and has no internet access - which is also why I'm posting for him.

What possible solutions are there for this problem?

Well I had the same problem too. I did not fix the problem myself though. My Uncle did. I think the gist of it was he downloaded a driver scanner. I'm not sure how that works but I hope its a start.

Iam from Germany. You can make a Hard Reset: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01684768&product=1132551

If this done, go in BIOS (F10 Key in POST by HP Logo) and push in BIOS the Key F9 to load Setup Defaults.Then again F10 to Save and Exit.
