Wireless Adapted disabled (error code 702) on HP Elitebook 8560w

My work laptop is an Elitebook 8460p that formerly had F.08 bios. I just updated to F22 and now I get this same error on boot: WLAN Module ID (702) - Wireless Adapter disabled. Apparently after upgrading to any bios version beyond F13, you cannot return to earlier versions.

As I was just given this laptop 2 weeks ago, I don't know what adapter came with the system to determine if it's supported by F22, but obviously the bios doesn't think it is!

It seems that many people have these types of problems with HP bios updates.

I'm hoping someone from HP will read these and work some magic...thank you!

Hi, may I know how did you solve the problem subsequently? Because Im facing the same thing now too.

I just bought a HP Probook 4431s few weeks ago and when I turned it on today, it says

Wireless Module not supported
The system has detected a Wireless module installed in the system is not supported and disabled it
WLAN Module ID (702)

I have same problem and same start up error message.

I should mention that I recently change may lap-top main board and my lap top model in Pavilion DM4-1265dx
