I have had issues with the wireless connection staying connect after I did a clean install to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I have the most current version for the driver for the wireless card. I ran the troubleshooter everytime I have an issue and I always get 1 of 5 results:
The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the Internet is broken
Your broadband modem is experiencing connectivity issues
The default gateway is not available
Investigate router or broadband modem issues
Reset the "Wireless Network Connection" adapter
I have no idea what any of those things mean or how to fix the issue.

1: It says that something is wrong with the connection between your PC and the router
2: It says that your router is not working properly
3: It says that you can't connect to the network (router)
4: It says you need to troubleshoot issues with the router
5: Reset the router, means reset it.
Find a reset button and keep pressing it until the router reboots. It looks like a small hole and have to use a needle or something like this to press it down..
If the problem persists, tell us what wireless card and router you have..

The wireles card is an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN with driver version 13.4.0.9 downloaded from the Intel Driver Download Center. The router is an Apple Time Capsule (Airport Express Base Station with a built-in Hard Drive). The router has the latest firmware and AirPort Utility installed.
Also if wireless card needs replaced, can it be done without replacing the motherboard or is it attached the same way the graphics card is.

Intel Wifi Link 5100AGN is a reliable wireless card and I have had this card myself in my laptop. I have upgraded it to an Intel Advanced 6200 but the 5100 is still more than good. I would change the router. I don't like Apple stuff so it will be a quick decision..![]()
Browse this forum, you can find troubles with Broadcom, Atheros or Ralink wireless cards but not (occasionally) with Intel 5100 or higher.![]()

Can the wireless card be replaced on its own or is it attached to the motherboard and I have to replace the board to replace the wireless card.

Do those cards work with an HP dv7-1275dx. Also is the wireless module/card integrated into the motherboard or can it be replaced without replacing the board.
Full name for these card is: A Mini PCI Express wireless module. Has 2 form factors, Mini and Half Mini. Yes, you can change it without replacing a motherboard. Wireless modules or generally cards are not integrated on a motherboard or I haven't seen them yet..Those cards should work with all Dv7 series laptops. I couldn't find a manual for Dv7-1275 but found one for the series. An Intel Wifi Link 5100 is listed as a compatible card so they should work..
