I have a Presario F730us. I have been using my laptop and wireless for a year now. And conveniently my wireless goes out. I called HP and they said I only have 3 days of warranty left. How lucky. Anyway, they gave me the run around for 3 days and on the finally day the said "Oh, we are gonna send you a new wireless card". Is having a new wireless card going to help or will I need to have them put in a new motherboard?

After all this bull crap and HP knowing that their hardware is faulty and will mess up in a year I think I am gonna invest in a Apple Macbook.

Can't help you as I have similar problems with the Tx 1000 network card suddenly stopping after about 18 months.

As I was out of warrenty ----and the diagnosis was "send it in" ---- and the cost was $375 USD,  I opted for a USB adapter.

I have used telephone support recently and found it to be unacceptable; and the people have no responsibility to the caller at all.

it can't be the motherboard. have you tried connecting to a different network e.g. neighbor, hot spots? if so, did u experience the same problem?

good luck. let me know how it works out. i finally gave up and bought a usb wireless adapter. no more problems.

I cant even try to connect to another network because my laptop doesn't read my wireless card. I will be getting my new WLAN card next week and let you guys know how it works out.
