Wireless unrecognized

Hi,

I was using the internet in my notebook (Pavilion dv6424ca) just with cable conection for 3 months. And was travelling now and tried to conect wireless and realized that the nb was not recognizing any network, and the light that indicates the on/off status is always orange. So, I tried to reinstall the drivers and restart the pc, but it didn't work at a fist moment, but it worked later for a short period(blue light on). I try again later and the same problem appeared, I did the same procedure but this time it did not work. I even tried to update the BIOS, but it didn't work either! Could it be a hardware problem? I'm in France at the moment (Toulouse), is there anywhere i can take the nb??? I have it for an year and a half already.

I am having this same problem, just started a few days ago, very frustrating!

Sounds like another motherboard...  Quick fix, just buy a USB wifi, about $20, and plug it in.  HP refuses to acknowledge the problem...
