can no longer backup to network disk after downloading an Apple router update

I have an HP Pavilion G7 Notebook PC with Windows 7 64bit. I am attached wirelessly to a Netgear Rangemax wireless router. I have a PC with Windows Vista attached via ethernet cable to the Netgear router. Also attached to the router is Central Axis Network backup disk. Prior to the Apple download the backup worked fine. I contacted Apple and found out that they do not support network backups. I changed to the Netgear router. When I look for network devices the Central Axis does not show up. When I check for available networks, it gives the network name with ( internet access) . It seems that it will not let me connect to anything on the local network.
