Yes it will work. Did you get the adapter in a box? If so there are installation instructions in there or you can download all the Manuals and drivers at the Linksys website. It is a pci card. Open the desktop case and find an open white slot and put the card in it. You have to disconnect the antenna for installation then screw it back on after you have the card in the slot and bolted down. Then power the computer back on and run the install disk. Or if you read the instructions it may ask you to run the install disk first before installing the card.
