how do i use widi?

I bought a new dv7 quad edition with a 2nd gen i7 intel processor. I have a Sony Bravia TV with built in WiDi capabilities. I put the TV in WiDi mode and on the Laptop I search for adapters using the Intel WiDi utility. I made sure my wireless is turned on, and that Intel My WiFi is also on and running, as WiDI apparently requires it. However, the WiDi application cannot detect any WiDi adapters to connect to. I KNOW the TV is broadcasting because I can see the wireless access point it has created and can even connect to that point, but cannot do anything with it. Any suggestions as to what I should do?
