What wireless card and Operating system is installed on your Notebook? Kindly check this in device manager under Network adapters and let me know. 

Also have you installed bluetooth related drivers on your Notebook?

sir i have pre installed  windows vista 32 bit also i have bluetooth drivers installed, i can connect bluetooth cellphones with my lapi ,like i used to connect many cellphones including my own nokia N73 which i use even for net access, however when i search for nokia bh-503 headset it never searches it,, sir how can i know abt the wireless cards which r installed in my lapi ?

ok sir i got it,,, i checked under network adapters given inside device manager,,, it ishowing these following two components-

Broadcom 802.11 b/g WLAN

Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC( NDIS 6.0)

i m using windows vista 32 bit operating system &  i have bluetooth drivers installed as i can connect all cellphones with laptop,,,, sir plz suggest a solution, will be very thankfull,,

sir still i have installed the HP integrated module with bluetooth wireless technology 6.0.1.6200,,,,,,,,,,,,but still its not able to search the device ?

I dont think there is any problem with your laptop as its able to detect other devices (cellphone etc) via bluetooth. Have you tried connecting your bluetooth headset to any other computer ?
