Re: network adapter

Hi:

Maybe you need a driver update for your wireless card.

What model wireless card do you have installed in your notebook and what operating system are you running?

Re: network adapter

Hi:

Thanks for the info, but that still doesn't tell me what model wireless card you have installed in your G6.

Please go to the device manager and click on the network adapters section.

In that section, you should see two network devices listed--your wireless adapter and your wired adapter.

If you don't know which is which, just post the full names of both.

Re: network adapter

Hi Skw. "Reset" means restarting your wireless. You can disable enable the wireless icon at network connectiom, "ncpa.cpl" at "run". Also try to restart your router too.

If you still got an issue, I would suggest to call the router tech support they they should be able to walk you through with the steps over the phone.

Re: network adapter

I'm having the same problem as everyone else - wireless going in and out and the solution given is to reset the network adapter. I have done that many times with only temporary results.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6c 13cl Entertainment PC running Windows 7 Home Premium

My network adapter is Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11 b/g/n

I appreciate any help you could give me.

This computer is only 8 months old and still under warranty.
