New problem: Out of the blue, when I tried to open "My Bluetooth" in Win Explorer to transfer some pix from my phone to my Win7 Pavilion dv6-6B laptop, I got the error "The attached Bluetooth dongle is not supported." Bluetooth is internal on this model. Have transferred many files this way and by using push. Never had this problem before.
In the "My Bluetooth Settings" dialog box under General Settings, by Device address it says "Not found" (used to be hex address).
Device Manager says my Ralink Motorola BC8 Bluetooth 3.0+HS Adapter is "working properly" and it registers a MAC address. Current driver is Motorola Solutions, Inc., dated 2/8/2010, version 3.0.2.298. Tried to let Windows update the driver and it said the best one is already installed.
Tried to use push to send the pix directly from the phone to laptop. "Received Objects" dialog box pops up and correctly lists the name of the photo i tried to send, but under progress says: "Rejected by user."
Would appreciate any help or suggestions -- besides "hardware failure" -- I've not had the best luck with HP (last dv6 had a dead webcam straight out of the box).
Thanks!
