the installed Microsoft Word Starter 2010 English cannot open any word attachment anymore.

I have an HP Pavilion g series with a window 7 home premium.

My Microsoft Word Starter 2010 English is unable to open a "word docs" attachment anymore. The error diplayed is" Error sending command to program" or param name missing". can anyone help to restore it?

Is the Microsoft Word Starter 2010 still working at all?

Can you write and save a document using the program?

No It doesn`t open any of the saved documents with the following box error description" MWS 2010 cannot open the document. go to control panel to repair it" . I do that but it still doesn`t work after. is it possible that there is some incompatibility with Norton security which I installed recentely on my pc?
