i just purchased a pavillion g-7 1317cl . my current internet speed seems slow and i wondered what would be the best speed for this laptop?

It depends on how you define slow. Go to speedtest.net, take note of the download speed. 

 

And what is the best effort download speed from your ISP? r are you connecting from a public hotspot?
