I have a problem with Bluetooth in my notebook. I can see in Device Manager that devices: Bluetooth sound, Bluetooth Remote Control and Bluetooth L2CAP Interface are not working, can not be enabled. When bluetooth is on no devises can be added, and no other divices can discover my notebook. All bluetooth visibility option are switched on.
When I uninstall them and restart, windows is discovering new devices and tries to install them but its unsuccessful.
I installed all Windows updates and all latest drivers available on HP support site
Product number is: XE373EA#ABF

Download and install this driver.

Press the keys all at ounce to access the task manager "ctrl" "alt" "delete"
Click on "Services" in the heading bar > click on "Services" down in the lower right corner.
Scroll to find what you see in the screen shot.
They should be started and set to automatic, to change this, right click on each one and go to "Properties"
Use this driver, it's not HP, but from Broadcom.
Uninstall any drivers you have before installing this one. Save the new driver to the desk top and install it from there, not from a temporary folder.
If the 2 services are started and set to automatic in the device manger, Dan's driver may work.

As I understand you are having issue with your Bluetooth on your HP Pavilion dv7-4177sf. I am a bit unclear on what your issue is so I would ask that you elaborate a bit on what is happening when you use the Bluetooth on your computer.
In the mean time I am linking you to the drivers page for your HP Pavilion dv7-4166sf and would ask that you ensure that ALL your drivers are up to date. Please start with the Chipset drivers and make sure that you are running the most current drivers.
