HP 110-052ea windows 8 can't connect to Internet

Hi out there, I'm pulling my hair out! Just brought a HP 110 - 052ea and I can't get it to pick up my virgin media super hub wireless connection. Do I have to 'switch' anything on anywhere to enable it to do so?

Thanks in advance

Re: HP 110-052ea windows 8 can't connect to Internet

Hi,

Does the following specs match your machine ?

   http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c03824644&lang=en&cc=us&taskI...

It clearly says:

Networking
LAN: 10-Base-T
  • Interface: Integrated into motherboard
  • Technology: Realtek 8106E-CG ethernet controller
  • Data transfer speeds: up to 10/100 Mb/s
  • Transmission standards: 10-Base-T Ethernet

That means NO wireless. You have to add wireless card or use a LAN cable to connect to port #4

Regards.
