Micro Wireless Usb adapter for 5 GHZ band

Good day people,

I'm looking for a MICRO USB WIRELESS ADAPTER for the 5 Ghz band.

Does anybody know a place where I can buy this?

Looks like its very hard to get this?

Thanks in advance!

An 802.11a Nano/Micro USB adapter would be a very rare find..

I also tried looking up online for at least dual band nano/micro models but major networking manufacturers don't have them on sites..

I also tried the PCMCIA / Card buses but failed.. to get a catch..

Would you mind if I ask the reason why you want a 5GHz card?

Hello Rjose,

Thanks for your reply!

I am looking for a micro 5GHZ stick because my beautiful HP DV4190SD can't handle a internal card who can function on 5 GHZ band. I wanted to then buy the 6000 Series DV7 but also there are now problems with a compatible 5Ghz card.......

Because HP makes use of Blacklists in BIOS the only thing I can do is plug a USB adapter in my laptop and it has to be a Micro otherwise it's ugly as &*(*  :smileyvery-happy:

The wireless transfer rates on the 5 GHZ channel is two times faster the on the 2.4 GHz channel and I already have a Router who supports 5 Ghz and a internet connection of 120 Mbps......

I think it is very strange that this is not on the market nowadays.......

======================================================

only a few people use 5GHZ nowadays, not everybody knows the significance....

if they do.. it would be for a media device..  LOL. :smileytongue:
